** SPECIAL: The Last Word in Luxury **
** stay 9 pay for 6! **

Depart London Heathrow on an overnight flight to Cape Town International Airport. On arrival in Cape Town the following morning, collect your hire car and transfer to Kommetjie.

Cape Town is without doubt one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. Blending the old with the new, it has a relaxed, almost continental atmosphere. The influence of early Dutch settlers in 1652, Malay slaves and British rulers have created a rich tapestry of culture not found anywhere else.

A visit to Cape Town is much more than a City Break! Cape Point offers rugged cliffs, scenic coastline, baboons and wild ostriches. The wooden walkways of Boulders beach allow you to observe the African penguins in their natural habitat without disturbing them.

Visit Simons Town, a haven for visitors interested in maritime history. Visit the statue of Able Seaman Just Nuisance and hear the story of this legendary Great Dane (and friend); Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens is a must for every visitor to Cape Town and is a haven for lovers of nature, flora and fauna.

The Long Beach is a five star waterfront retreat right on the beach in the picturesque lobster-fishing village of Kommetjie, a short thirty-minute drive from Cape Town. It is truly a special place to stay, offering a rare and rewarding alternative, romantic hideaway. Long Beach itself is eight kilometres of fine, white powdered sand, so pristine it alone will leave you breathless. Add to this the uninterrupted views across Hout Bay to Table Mountain, and you have the ultimate unspoilt paradise in which to walk, ride horses or surf.

There is an inviting pool and relaxing sun decks from which you can scan the ocean for whales, or you can catch your own lobster and request it for dinner. Included in the rates are lavish breakfasts, free drinks; including bespoke wines and premium spirits, and an in-house chauffeur service is available to guests for restaurant transfers or tailored tours to the highlights of Cape Town including a shopping spree!

The Cape Winelands is a region of the Western Cape Province of South Africa. The fertile green valleys of the Cape Winelands are surrounded by proud mountain ranges and it is the largest wine producing region in South Africa and is divided into six main wine regions, each offering its own unique wine route. Constantia, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl, Robertson and Wellington are the most popular

Towns and villages have many historic homesteads and monuments, and every so often fruit orchards are to be seen, whose produce may be found in all corners of the world. It is the Mediterranean climate and winter rainfall of the south-western Cape that produces some of the best wines in the country.

Franschhoek was originally known as ‘Olifants Hoek’, after elephants took to calving in the sheltered valley. Between 1688 and 1690 land was apportioned to 200 Huguenots fleeing persecution in France. Finding the climate similar to that of France, the settlers planted vines. Today, 20 members of the Vignerons produce wines consumed throughout the world.

The Last Word Franschhoek is an historic residence in the centre of what many regard as the most picturesque village in the Cape Winelands. Elegantly restored in the Cape Huguenot tradition, The Franschhoek lies in the heart of the village so is just a minutes’ walk from numerous character-filled, boutique-style shops and several excellent restaurants (three of which are rated within the top ten in South Africa)

The Franschhoek is a luxurious dream home that offers privacy, tranquillity and personal security and is replete with five-star comfort. There are six luxurious double rooms, which open onto a small shaded garden. All the en-suite bathrooms have travertine tiles, double marble vanities and generous baths to be shared by candlelight for the ultimate in romance.
