Camp Kipwe

LOCATION: Twyfelfontein Conservancy.

The setting is one of intimacy and space

Category:

Camp Kipwe is situated within the Twyfelfontein Conservancy in the heart of Damaraland, between the coast and Etosha National Park. The entire region is renowned for its geology and unusual rock formations. Not far from the front of camp runs a dry riverbed, which is frequently traversed by desert-adapted elephant. A sister lodge, Mowani Mountain Camp is a mere 4km away.

It will come as no surprise that Camp Kipwe is built amongst large granite boulders, which are cleverly incorporated in the overall design and layout of the lodge.  An advantage of the small size of the Camp Kipwe is the relaxed and tranquil environment. The setting is one of intimacy and space. An inviting lounge area, where birds fly in to enjoy the water seeping from the rocks, a refreshing swimming pool nestled in the rocks and a scattering of bungalows complete this eco-friendly camp
