Somalisa Acacia is tucked away beneath the dappled shade of an Acacia grove. A place where meeting an elephant in your backyard is not at all a fanciful notion. Especially if your backyard happens to be the largest natural reserve in Zimbabwe, famous for its rich diversity of wildlife. In addition to the large families of elephants that frequently roll across the golden plains of Hwange to visit the camp’s elephant pool, keep a lookout for swift cheetah, dazzling zebra, honking hippos and the graceful giraffe that may saunter into view.
Somalisa Acacia accommodates a maximum of twelve guests. This intimate camp comprises two family tents with inter-leading walkways between the parents and children’s rooms which are both en-suite, as well as two additional stand-alone canvas guest tents. Each guest tent includes gauze sliding doors to a private deck offering panoramic 180-degree views of the surrounding bush. Your guest tent is replete with modern appointments such as a fan, a battery charging station, wood-burning fireplace and bathroom that features a roll-top bath.

Ingwe Pan Camp
Location: Mana Pools
Ingwe Pan is situated at a secluded pan in the wilderness area of Mana Pools National Park, just a few kilometres inland of the Zambezi River and within walking distance of the Chiruwe riverbed. The pan is one of the biggest in the park and is surrounded by a grove of large ebony trees. The pan is an essential waterhole in the park, providing an intermediary drinking spot for the large herds of elephant and buffalo who walk through each day to the floodplain.

Deteema Springs Camp
Location: Hwange National Park
Deteema Springs is a small concession area in a well-known northern region of the Hwange National Park. Close to the Deteema dam, the camp is perched on a slight rocky rise above permanent water springs, offering magnificent views of large concentrations of animals, including elephants. While night safaris are not allowed due to park regulations, Deteema offers amazing opportunities for walking safaris and viewing wildlife from the comfort of the camp.
