3 nights in Cape Town

V&A Waterfront

Cape Town has repeatedly been voted the most beautiful city in the world, and we could not agree any more. Yes, there are many beautiful cities around the globe, but nothing compares to what Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula has to offer the visitor.

Set spectacularly at the foot of Table Mountain, Cape Town is packed with sightseeing attractions, excellent bars, cafes and restaurants as well as colourful craft markets. Offering some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the world, one of the highlights of any visit to Cape Town is the two-ocean drive to Cape Point. The dramatic scenery and stunning beaches en route are not to be missed, including Boulders Beach, home to a colony of African penguins.

1 night in the Breede River Valley

The Breede River Valley

An area of magnificent views, panoramic landscapes and towering cliffs, crystal clear streams, an abundance of trees and indigenous flora, the Breede River Valley is the largest of the Western Cape’s three fruit and wine producing valleys. A heavily cultivated region, graced with orchards, vineyards and wheat lands, surrounded by mountains, the higher peaks of which are heavily capped with snow in winter.

The Breeder River Valley town of Montagu is the starting point for Route 62, the longest wine, fruit and mountain route in the world, which makes its way through the valley to the Klein Karoo.

2 nights in Klein Karoo

Swartberg Pass

The Klein Karoo region has a landscape fashioned almost entirely by water, ranging from lush greenery in the fertile river valleys to short, rugged Karoo plants in the veld. Gorges follow rivers that cut through towering mountains and passes (Swartberg Pass and Meiringspoort Gorge) cross-imposing terrain, leaving one stunned by the magnificence. The long narrow valley is rich in geological shapes, culture, history, Bushman art, prolific plant species and is also the home of the spectacular Cango Caves.

4 nights on the Garden Route

Plettenberg Bay

A natural garden of magical forests, blue-crisp mountains, fynbos and pure crystal water best describes the Cape Garden Route. Also known as the Coastal Route East it quite simply encapsulates South Africa’s inherent ‘green’ magnificence and is now a must visit destination for all who adore and yearn to embrace stunning outdoor splendour.

With its abundance of closely-protected nature reserves and National Parks, Mother Nature presents visitors with an up-close and personal experience with the best she has to offer – the world over.
