3 nights in cape town

Boulders Beach Penguins

Cape Town is without doubt one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. Blending the old with the new, it has a relaxed, almost continental atmosphere. The influence of early Dutch settlers in 1652, Malay slaves and British rulers have created a rich tapestry of culture not found anywhere else.

Don’t make the mistake thinking that Cape Town is just another city, it is much more than a City Break! Cape Point offers rugged cliffs, scenic coastline, baboons and wild ostriches. The wooden walkways of Boulders beach allow you to observe the African penguins in their natural habitat without disturbing them and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, a haven for lovers of nature, flora and fauna is a must for every visitor.

Overberg Whale Viewing

Hermanus is the jewel of the Overberg. Cradled by two large estuaries, this beautiful coastal town lies between the rocky coastline and gentle green mountains. World-renowned for its biodiversity, Hermanus has an abundance of plant, animal and bird life – a paradise for nature lovers.

The greatest attraction is undoubtedly the whales that migrate to the shores to mate and calve in the secluded bay. This has earned Hermanus the title of best destination in the world for land-based whale watching.

The region however offers far more, including world class wine estates and Great White Shark cage diving. Your paradise is waiting, let us introduce you!

1 night in Swellendam

Swellendam Ocean View

As the third oldest town in South Africa, Swellendam is steeped in history. The award-winning Drostdy Museum and its surrounding property give an extensive overview of the area’s past.

Not to be missed is the spectacular mountain route over the Tradouws Pass. Another winner is the daytrip to De Hoop Nature Reserve. Take a fully-stocked picnic basket and drive through the rolling fields and white dunes towards the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Whales (best seen between July and November), natural beaches and rocky coves work together to create what we believe to be the most romantic spot in the world.
